Health monitoring report
 ,,,,,, | According to FELASA guidelines each individual breeding colony is health monitored twice a year for the listed pathogens. The latest results, incl. historical results are published in the Health Monitoring Report (HMR). Differences are present between barrier 1 and barrier 2. In barrier 1 antibodies against Parvovirus have been demonstrated to be present, and Streptococcus suis, serotype 5, has been cultured from a nasal swab. Both barriers are positive for Rotavirus. No clinical disease has been associated with these findings. Candida albicans is present in all animals, and is characterized by brown straining under the eye. Apart from this, no pathological changes are present related to Candida albicans infection.

For the conventional herd health monitoring is carried out once a year. This health monitoring is not quite as extensive as in the two barriers. The following pathogens are monitored:
